The Halichondrida
The Halichondrida sponge is a type of demosponge.
-It reproduces like almost all other demo sponges.
-Sexually, the sperm is caught out of the water and creates eggs. These eggs are kept inside the sponge until they are larva.
-The larva then exit using the water current to pull them out, and start a new sponge of their own.
They can also reproduce asexually.
-Asexually, the sponge produces survival pods that stay safe when sponge is dying or unhealthy.
-After the adult sponge dies, these survival pods are let out, and larva can hatch from them.
-The larva can then swim back to the skeleton of the adult or find a new place to become a sponge.
